This three-dimensional sculpture captivates with its serene presence. The female bust, rendered with a coarse texture, exudes a primal strength and a meditative aura. Her downcast, almost smiling expression suggests an introspection into an inner world, or perhaps an acceptance of an unseen ‘truth.’ The voluminous torso, skillfully utilizing the material’s inherent mass, flows into a layered, plinth-like base, evoking a sense where the boundaries between life and death, and existence itself, become blurred. Imbued with a mysticism reminiscent of ancient objects of worship, this work profoundly questions the viewer’s inner self.
